This is an on-site, full-time position at our Melbourne location that requires lifting over 100 pounds daily

Pay Rate starts at $20/hour

Responsibilities

  1. Stay physically engaged- this role involves regular stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching as part of your daily tasks
  2. Enjoy a dynamic workday with a mix of sitting, standing, walking, lifting (over 100 pounds), and interacting with customers
  3. Report directly to the Delivery Services Manager
  4. Handle the timely and safe delivery and/or pick-up of medical equipment and supplies to and from customer locations
  5. Set up and assemble medical equipment at customer residences, ensuring everything functions properly and meets safety and manufacturer standards
  6. Educate customers on the correct usage and maintenance of their equipment, giving them peace of mind and confidence
  7. Verify all delivery paperwork for accuracy- know exactly where you’re going and who you're helping before you leave the store
  8. Conduct daily vehicle inspections using a standard checklist to ensure safety, compliance, and readiness for mock accreditation checks
  9. Keep your vehicle up to date with all state and federal regulations
  10. Maintain a neat and clean delivery vehicle at all times- it’s your mobile workplace, after all!
  11. Log mileage and delivery details with precision using daily mileage logs and driver manifests
  12. Organize and match delivery paperwork with the correct equipment to ensure smooth and error-free deliveries
  13. Suit up with required protective gear, as needed, and make safety a priority every day
  14. Wear steel-toed boots at all times while on company business
  15. Rotate on-call shifts to help provide around-the-clock delivery services when needed
  16. Return all paperwork promptly upon returning to the store
  17. Stay informed- maintain working knowledge of oxygen handling, trans-filling, DOT guidelines, hazardous materials protocols, and all other related knowledge
  18. Actively participate in monthly staff meetings and training sessions to keep skills sharp and stay connected with the team
  19. Take on other tasks as assigned, which may occasionally include attending events or functions outside of normal business hours

Qualifications

  • Must have a good driving record
  • Must maintain a current, valid Florida driver’s license
  • Can read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, law enforcement, orders, shipments, etc.
  • Must be able to lift over 100 pounds
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience being a delivery driver preferred 
  • Medical background is preferred
  • Must have tb QuantiFERON test or chest x-ray
  • Must be able to obtain and keep a level 2 background screening clearance
