EDUCATION
-MUST BE A GRADUATE OF AN ACCREDITED SCHOOL OF PHARMACY
-MUST HAVE A CURRENT PHARMACIST LICENSE FOR THE STATE OF FLORIDA.
-MUST HAVE TWO OR MORE YEARS OF PHARMACEUTICAL EXPERIENCE.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. MUST COMMUNICATE AND WORK WELL WITH YOUR FELLOW EMPLOYEES, PATIENTS, CUSTOMERS AND OTHER PHARMACEUTICAL
PROFESSIONALS.
2. KNOWLEDGEABLE OF RETAIL PHARMACY PRACTICE, EQUIPMENT, AND PRODUCT LINE.
3. MAINTAIN CONFIDENTIALITY OF PATIENT FILES.
4. PARTICIPATE IN MONTHLY STAFF MEETINGS AND IN-SERVICES.
5. MAINTAIN A PROFESSIONAL APPEARANCE AND ATTITUDE.
6. MUST BE COMPUTER LITERATE.
7. HAVE BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF FUNDING SOURCES AS IT RELATES TO YOUR RESPECTIVE DEPARTMENT, SUCH AS, MEDICARE, MEDICAID, PRIVATE INSURANCE, V.A., ETC.
8. MUST HAVE GOOD TELEPHONE SKILLS.
9. MUST BE DETAILED ORIENTED AND ABLE TO PRIORITIZE VARIOUS TASKS.
10. MUST MAINTAIN A CURRENT VALID FLORIDA DRIVERS LICENSE.
11. MUST PARTICIPATE IN CEU’S AS REQUIRED BY STATE LAW TO KEEP YOUR LICENSE CURRENT.
12. MUST BE ABLE TO STAND/SIT FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME.
13. MUST BE ABLE TO WORK IN A FAST PACED HIGH ENERGY ENVIRONMENT.
14. MUST RECEIVE TWO BASELINE TUBERCULOSIS SHOTS
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. THE PHARMACIST IS RESPONSIBLE TO THE CEO.
2. THE PHARMACIST WILL ASSIST WITH COMPOUNDING AND DISPENSING OF PRESCRIPTIONS.
3. ASSIST WITH PROVIDING EDUCATIONAL IN-SERVICES FOR IN-HOUSE STAFF AND OUTSIDE AGENCIES.
4. ASSIST WITH PATIENT CARE PLANS AND COMPLIANCE WITH STATE AND FEDERAL REGULATIONS.
5. BE INFORMED OF THE COMPANY’S PRIMARY COMPETITORS, REFERRAL SOURCES AND GENERAL MARKET INFORMATION AND
CURRENT TRENDS.
6. KEEP UP ON PERSONAL CONTACTS ON A PERIODIC BASIS WITH THE PROFESSIONALS AND OTHER GROUPS TO MAINTAIN
AWARENESS OF BROWNING’S PHARMACY & HEALTH CARE SERVICES.
7. KEEP THE CEO INFORMED OF ANY AND ALL MARKETING STRATEGIES AND RESULTS.
8. DEMONSTRATE ABILITY TO EVALUATE THE CUSTOMERS NEEDS AND ASSIST WALK-IN CUSTOMERS.
9. ASSIST WITH INVENTORY CONTROL AND ORDERING OF PHARMACEUTICALS.
10. OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED WHICH MAY INCLUDE UNCOMPENSATED ATTENDANCE AT FUNCTIONS DURING NON-BUSINESS HOURS.
