 EDUCATION

-HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA

-KNOWLEDGE OF REHAB EQUIPMENT AND SUPPLIES

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

1.  MUST COMMUNICATE AND WORK WELL WITH YOUR FELLOW EMPLOYEES, PATIENTS, CUSTOMERS AND OTHER HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONALS.

2.  MAINTAIN CONFIDENTIALITY OF PATIENT FILES.

3.  PARTICIPATE IN MONTHLY STAFF MEETINGS AND IN-SERVICES.

4.  MAINTAIN A PROFESSIONAL APPEARANCE AND ATTITUDE.

5.  MUST BE COMPUTER LITERATE IN EXCEL, PUBLISHER, AND VARIOUS OTHER SOFTWARE.

6.  HAVE CURRENT KNOWLEDGE OF MEDICARE, MEDICAID AND PRIVATE INSURANCE’S.  

7.  MUST HAVE GOOD TELEPHONE SKILLS.

8.  MUST BE DETAILED ORIENTED.

9. MUST BE ABLE TO PRIORITIZE VARIOUS TASKS.

10. ABLE TO WORK INDEPENDENTLY WITH MINIMAL SUPERVISION.

11. MUST HAVE A CURRENT, VALID FLORIDA DRIVERS LICENSE.

12. MUST BE ABLE TO STAND/SIT FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME.

13. MUST BE ABLE TO WORK IN A FAST-PACED HIGH ENERGY ENVIRONMENT.       

14. MUST RECEIVE TWO BASELINE TUBERCULOSIS TESTS.

15. DRUG FREE WORKPLACE.

16 MUST BE ABLE TO OBTAIN AND KEEP A LEVEL 2 BACKGROUD SCREENING CLEARANCE.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

1.     THE REHAB SERVICE COORDINATOR REPORTS TO THE REHAB MANAGER.

2.     ASSIST WITH COORDINATING SALES, INVENTORY AND ASSEMBLY OF REHAB EQUIPMENT AND SUPPLIES.

3.     BASIC UNDERSTANDING OF SEATING AND MOBILITY SYSTEMS, AS WELL AS OTHER REHAB RELATED EQUIPMENT.

4.      MUST BE ABLE TO OBTAIN INSURANCE VERIFICATIONS, PRODUCE CMNS, AND PROFESSIONAL LETTERS AND QUOTES.

5.     REVIEWS ALL PAPERWORK FROM RTS AND REPAIR TECHS TO MAKE SURE IT IS PROPERLY COMPLETED.

6.       IS ABLE TO DETERMINE WHAT PAPERWORK IS NEEDED FOR AUTHORIZATION.

7.      PREPARES CMN AND LMN REQUESTS IN A TIMELY MANNER AND ACCURATE MANNER, REVIEWS FOR COMPLETENESS.

8.     PREPARES AUTHORIZATION REQUESTS FOR MEDICAID AND OTHER FUNDING AGENCIES TO ASSURE PROPER PAPERWORK IS INCLUDED IN THE REQUEST.

9.     REVIEWS “IN PROCESS” FILES AT LEAST BIWEEKLY TO MAKE SURE AUTHORIZATIONS ARE BEING OBTAINED AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE. SENDS FOLLOW UP REQUESTS/OBTAINS ASSISTANCE AS NEEDED TO EXPEDITE.

10.    MAINTAINS PATIENT CHARTS IN ACCORDANCE WITH CHAP STANDARDS AND DEPARTMENT GUIDELINES.

11.   CONSISTENTLY RECORDS NOTES IN COMPUTER REGARDING ALL CONVERSATIONS AND WORK COMPLETED.

12.   REVIEWS ALL RETURNED CMN/LMN AND AUTHORIZATIONS TO DETERMINE THAT THE PAPERWORK IS COMPLETE AND WE WILL BE PAID APPROPRIATELY.

13.   PREPARES DELIVERY PAPERWORK, RE-VERIFIES INSURANCE, AND ARRANGES APPOINTMENTS FOR DELIVERIES.

14.   REVIEWS DOCUMENATTION FROM DELIVERIES.  QUICKLY PROCESSES ALL REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION TO THE BILLING DEPARTMENT.             

15.    OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED, WHICH MAY INCLUDE UNCOMPENSATED ATTENDENCE AT FUNCTIONS DURING NON-BUSINESS HOURS.

 

 IN ACCORDANCE WITH OSHA EXPOSURE GUIDELINES, PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT YOUR JOB IS A CATEGORY II POSITION, YOUR NORMAL WORK ROUTINE INVOLVES NO EXPOSURE TO BLOOD, BODY FLUIDS OR TISSUES, BUT EXPOSURE TO POTENTIAL EXPOSURE MAY BE REQUIRED AS A CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT.  APPROPRIATE PROTECTIVE MEASURES ARE READILY AVAILABLE TO EVERY EMPLOYEE.
